Grudging respect to Dabo for holding out as long as he could. And I mean that sincerely although I think his stubbornness knocked us down the CFP ladder.
TODAY we have seen:
-more than one Clemson player deciding not to play in the meaningless bowl
-heads rolling on the coaching staff
-at least one player picked up in the portal
Today we have become like everyone else in college football in the 2020s.

no one's been picked up. And for the record, like I've had to tell many other Clemson fans, we've offered players in the portal before, just they didn't come to us. The big Center from Virginia last year was down to us and Michigan and you can guess where he went. Until we pick up 5 players in the portal, not much has changed on that front.

because it seems to be more than you see at other programs.
It's not like he has not fired anyone since Spence.
Maybe it is because he hires the wrong guy, I dunno.
It may just be Dabo has been coaching longer than most other coaches.
Saban doesn't seem to fire them, but they don't stay there long - they get the Bama 'cred' and move on for more money or opportunity.

or couches it in those terms. His deal is that if a coach does what he is asked, even if he sucks at it, he gets re-homed rather than publicly fired. If they get out of line, Saban is more explicit, like with Lane Kiffin.
There are a lot of Bama coaches who have left for lateral or worse positions. That's what is normally happening. It works there because Saban has an enormous coaching tree/connections in cfb and NFL. He also has a bunch of staff turnover.
Not sure it would work here, where where coaches like to stay long term.
