this team and keeping it together with glue and duct tape. They really don't have much in the way of power hitters and pitching has been mix & match all year long. Admittedly, some of his pitching changes are real head scratchers and have been all year. I am not sure if it is him or Belanger but this continuing trend of yanking pitchers who are having great games because of some penciled in number on a pad somewhere is really frustrating. They need to toss the pitch count clicker in the garbage and burn the scratch pad as this tendency of over thinking is costing us ballgames.

With the new revenue sharing rules allowing Clemson to bring in more/better players I think the sky is the limit for Clemson baseball. We love winning 40+ games a year and love Coach Bakich. Just a bit of tweaking and recruiting and a CWS Championship is on the horizon.

Agree, stated a similar statement yesterday. Amazing what Bakich has done with this team having only 2 real hitters and 4 decent pitchers.

His job is to recruit ans assembled a good team . It is 100% in him that we don’t have but 1 hitter and very little pitching on the team . What does he do all offseason ? He is the head coach in charge of acquiring talent . You should be questioning how Gaffney has regressed since badly under this staff ? The biggest concern is the in game coaching decisions of late , that is baffling and cause for concern

I think he has done a very good job overall. I think we have the right coaching staff in place. I think what needs to improve is recruiting. And he hasn't done terrible there. But we're not going to go to the college world series with mid-major, and Michigan transfers, and recruiting classes that aren't in the top 10 each year. One of the sad things is that you really need to win these playoff series to elevate recruiting. And now we have possibly 3 years in a row where we are being upset based on our seeding. Not a good look to recruits. Hopefully we have some big donor that is ready to donate a huge chunk of nil and we can just buy a team during this wild West period we're in.
