Isn't it odd that an ESPN #### list pundit has the half as*ed semiholes ahead of Clemson in the ACC given the fact that we buggy whipped them at Tallahassee last year! Greg Mc has always hated Clemson since they beat his beloved Bama pet elephants!

I really hate it when you guys attack the messenger rather than the message.
Anyone paying attention has seen FSU as gaining momentum. I was at the FSU game this year and they gave us all we could handle. And they got better as the year went on and they finished strong. They finished above us in all of the polls I read.
That is not to mention that they have been one of the most successful teams in the country as far as recruiting and using the portal to gather talent. And they have a proven veteran QB coming back.
Now, I still think that the Tigers will beat them in DV. But if you don't have that marked on your calendar as one of the toughest of the year, you are not paying attention. It is going to be a knock-down, dragged out fight - and I can't wait to be there.

Those guys over at ESECPN are wrong so much, and their dislike for Clemson is so high that it doesn't faze them with their wishful thinking analyses, it just makes them feel better until they are proven wrong, and they will play it off like nothing was never said about FSU being the top dog in the ACC. They have sang that same song so much, that they are use to it going another way other than what they wanted it to go. That is what the top money dogs of ESECPN has trained them to be!!! Go Tigers!!!

Hoping Randall can be a bigger part of the offense, and maybe a freshman comes in and can be an immediate impact at WR. Sprinkle in some throws to the TE and run Mafah and Shipley I believe Fl St will have their hands full.

If they don't, that probably means they jumped the gun entering the portal, and a crowd of players have done that, entered the portal before finding another place to play, and a lot of them that made that move before finding themselves a spot, they could end up without a scholarship or a team to play for...The portal may be a good thing for most, but there are some of those doors they open that may lead them to a dead end without enough room to turn around, or back out of!!!

the Noles get back in the driver seat. Honestly we need FSU to be good as well as us. We need that boost and we need more teams in this conference to hold up their end of the deal when it comes to competition. It'll make us better to have a strong conference.

I'm not concerned about what he has to say - hardly an expert but I guess manages his duties without major mess-ups like he did at QB. It is obvious though that we have slipped back and FSU is certainly getting better. Maybe the portal holds more big and fast receivers or RB's with speed, which is exactly what we need, along with an OL that blocks better but I'm not sure we would find that many better than what we have. They are in the portal for a reason - I doubt it is full of Joe Burrows!
I hope we can recruit/find a RB with speed - not knocking our backs, especially Ship who runs as hard as you will find but let's face it, he's not going to outrun anyone on the rare times he actually has a hole to run through. We need a back who can score from anywhere and some receivers to come along to give CK the type of targets DW and TL had to throw to. Let's see what spring and some new blood brings before we are pronounced dead! People have tried that before and it didn't work.

That was the problem that I, and a whole lot of others had with Streeter as QB coach. There just never seemed to be much advancement in the QB room. Even Trevor was at his best as a freshman. Still hard to swallow that we only won one Natty with Trevor, Tee Higgins, AND ETN here all at the same time. But, it is what it was, and thither shalt be.

So as I said many times, and I received a number of TDs for making my opinion known. I guess nobody actually noticed that TL16 was a better QB his freshman season than he was afterwards, and I truly believe that it was bc Streeter was messing around with Trevor's mechanics that led to him throwing more Ints!!! He is gone now, so this will be the last thing I have to say about Streeter unless he is rehired!!!

Why would it be hard to believe that we didn't win more nattys? We went to the playoffs those years. We lost to LSU in the final, and I don't think I need to mention the players on that team. Lost to a rested OSU team that had quite the roster themselves. Really not that hard to believe. Just saying.

That's wasn't that good of an Ohio State team in 2020. They barely won many of their like 6 games they played, including a very close game against a bad Northwestern. We just had a huge drop off at defense and the offense played poorly.

Great for getting clicks.
1. LSU is the team to beat in SEC-W.
2. TN will win the SEC-E.
3. Colorado will win 8 games next season.
4. TX and OK will play for the Big-12 championship.
5. Washington will win the PAC-12.
1. DJU will be a finalist for the Heisman.
2. Jordan Travis will win the Heisman.
3. Nick Saban will retire after next season.
4. Kirby Smart will be in the NFL in 2024.
Lot's of ways top make predictions between now and next fall if you just want people to click on your links.
I don't think it is unreasonable to say FSU could beat Clemson. But, it's dependent on a whole lot of things:
1. Jordan Travis staying healthy.
2. Being as successful in the transfer portal with the new guys this year as we have been the past two years. (Can all three OL we brought in play well enough to start and can 2 of them be All ACC and one of those be a first round draft pick?)
3. Can our DBs finally learn how to play zone defense?
4. Can our TEs be real threats in the passing game?
5. Can our DL dominate?
All of those are possible. But, none of them are a lock.

McElroy is a twit who is still butt hurt over the tail kicking Clemson gave Bama a few years ago, but I was taught that even a broken clock is right twice a day. FSU has improved and has definitely closed the gap between them and Clemson. With the division less schedule it may make it so Clemson has to beat FSU twice next season. Should be interesting.
