I don't get the NC State hype

They're losing their star OT, RB, and WR this year. The only thing I'm concerned about is their defense, but they gave up 45 to Wake last year. If our offense is rejuvinated and performing much better than they did last year, this should be an easy win for us in Death Valley.

and Clemson is "cycling out".. Todd Ellis style logic. It'll take some amount of poor consecutive recruiting cycles for Clemson to be knocked off the top. At some point it may happen but not anytime in the near future. I could see Miami start to make a push or at some point FSU but..NC state is NcState... they'll probably go 7-5 this year.

Here is the hype. Doren doesn't like Clemson. Here is more hype. They beat us last year and would love to do it again. Need more hype? Until FSU regains it's status as our toughest test N.C. State has that role .Hype # 4.They are in our division and we can not lose to any division rival, period.
And in regards to your "if" unless you count S.C. State, and UCONN we did not have 1 easy win at home last year until Wake,so you had better hope we find that offense.

Amen leftie, it was a long last season .. with most games nail biters due to NO passing offense. Hopefully all will improve. Now with new coaches and other QB’s available if needed - no excuses. Our D is top 5, we just need a complete or balanced offense this year. We have plenty of time to get ready and prepare. We should not be surprised this year. Again, no excuses.

State will be good next year. Their QB gets the job done. This will likely be the Tigers toughest game. As I have posted previously, get your ticket early for this game. A DV sellout. Let’s show the Wolfie fans what home field advantage is really like.

Eh, NCSU hasn't beaten us at DV or consecutively since Philip Rivers was their QB (2002 @ DV, 2003 @ CFS). So unless Leary is the second coming of Rivers, it'll be 2018 all over again. People said the same in 2018 when Finley and NCSU were supposed to give us a run. We all know how that turned out.
NCSU plays like absolute @$$ at Clemson and I wouldn't be surprised if we win by 3+ TD's, especially with a healthy defense this go round. NCSU got lucky that we lost Bresee and a bunch of others in last year's game.
Also to put things in perspective, with NCSU's best QB since Rivers (Wilson), they still lost to arguably our worst squad under Swinney in 2010.
NCSU gets perennially overhyped, and they disappoint their fans worse than Georgia does.

It will not be an easy win because State is a good team but if we escape the injury train, we will be ok. Remember that last season it was not about who was there, it was all about who was not there.

that anyone thinks NC State will be able to hang just taking into consideration who didn’t play last season. Our WR’s will be healthy and deeper, we get Will Taylor back, Bresee, a healthy Davis, etc. Doreen is already wetting his pants. This game will be out of control by the third.
