person in his original cabinet is either in jail, just out of jail or hoping to not wind up in jail. All of the former military members of his cabinet have all written books or are in the process of writing books about his leadership, or lack thereof.

To a man, they all agree he never prepares prior to a meeting with staff. He lies with almost every breath. The crazy thing is he lies so much he can't keep track of which lie he told yesterday so he won't contradict that lie the next day.

It is completely baffling to me that anyone believes anything he says. You know, like his comment a couple of months ago claiming that drinking disinfectant would fight Covid 19.

I know a lot of Republicans, myself included, who intend to vote as an Independent. Trump is a divider, a liar and if he doesn't pay the $400M in federal taxes he owes over the next four years, he may wind up in the same jails where some of his cabinet members have served their time.

supposed to survive

-when 40% of the population is dumber than dirt and cannot believe anything whose origin is not from within the liberal echo chamber?

-when the left has eliminated the concept of peer reviewed scientific journals by adopting tactics where any form of lying is okay as long as it is a means to an end; an end envisioned only by leftists?

-when the leading Dem candidate tells outright lies about such a divisive issue like Breonna Taylor's accidental killing?

-when the MSM and social media (owned/controlled by leftists) are spewing one-sided garbage, erroneous fact checks and sensoring conservatives?

-when blacks continue to vote for a platform that keeps them government-dependent which ensures their inability to break out of poverty and Dems blame it all on the other side

How are Yacht Manufactures and the Florida Housing market supposed to profit if we do not give more money to the wealthy? You do not want to put hard working yacht makers out of business do you, this kind of economic activity creates jobs in the maritime industry.

How can you trust a man who works without pay?

If you idiots would lose the emotion you could really figure out how Trump is taking advantage of his office. I lay that on the lamestream media and everyone who hangs on every word the fake news writes. You morons pick out a focus point and miss the big picture. You are blinded by your hate.

Sep 28, 2020, 2:16 PM

I have stated over and over that my two biggest problems with Trump are spending and him being a major jerk.

If you consider that tap dancing, so be it. I guess the question is, were you squawking about spending when Obama was POTUS.

Further, are you in support of all the progressive ideas like free college education etc.? How are we going to pay for those things? Raise taxes?

Re: I didn't say anything about my feelings about the issue...

Sep 28, 2020, 3:47 PM

Currently, our federal spending is 6.2T and federal tax revenue is 3T. If you subscribe to the idea that our issue is spending and not revenue, then tell us where we are going to get 3.2T in spending cuts just to break even, and that's not even accounting for the interest.

2025 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

whoa....

Sep 28, 2020, 3:57 PM

that is above my pay grade. I'm simply saying we can't spend like we are, much less add more to it.

This thread is simply replying to your OP that somehow DJT started all the spending.

Maybe Congress should take on the responsibility that they like to abdicate and come up with a budget to start things off.

Unfortunately, no politician, left or right, are doing their job with spending.

You are asking me where to cut in our Federal budget? That's not my job. If your house is spending $10k per month and you are only bringing in $7k, I suggest you make some adjustments in spending, even if they are hard and uncomfortable.

Our problem is we have let the gravy train flow and it's hard to stop it.

Simply raising taxes doesn't always equate to higher tax revenue. Often it does quite the opposite.

Those numbers are from usdebtclock.org which gets it's numbers directly from the Department of Treasury. Again, it's amazing how it's always a "spending problem", but when you ask for someone to put to paper where you are going to cut, it becomes "not my job or above my pay grade".

On 7/14/2016, in the final year of Obama, spending was 3.8T and revenue was 3.2T. But Obama was terrible at the nations finances, or at least that was the Trump narrative. On 7/14/2019, Spending was 4.4T and revenue was 3.4T, so under Trump, the deficit was nearly doubled and this was before COVID. Why is the business man so bad with the Nation's finances? Why was Obama doing better? MAGA I suppose.

I was squawking about spending when Obama was president...which is exactly why I voted for Romney.

Live. Within. Your. Means.

Why is that so hard for our government to grasp? Honestly, to his credit, Slick Willy was the last one who really got it right...though that's about the only credit I'll give him.
