Clemson made 4 NC games in a row. Those Clemson and 'Bama teams would destroy just about every NC since 2000 minus, Miami, LSU, and maybe a couple of other teams. What the heck are they smoking????
Just another completely worthless ranking. #6 since 2000? Please get serious... 😂.
The 2018 is firmly in the conversation for #1 all time.

2015, 2016, and 2018 teams should all be in the list. It would have been back to back 2015/2016 had it not been for that ridiculous kick receiving formation being used that year. To my grave I will believe the difference in that game was Bama's gimme on side kick because we refused to put anyone on that side of the field. Otherwise that was Natty #2, but water under the bridge.

I guess we didn't get quite enough credit for beating the best college football team in history by a zillion points ......oh well!

Beat the most dominant SEC team ever 44-16.

Had the 2018 Alabama squad beat us they would’ve went down as the best ever. The bias here is obvious. 2018 Clemson easily belongs in the top 5. These writers just need to suck it up and take it for what it is.

I’ve seen rankings of our 2018 being #5-6 of ALL time. Not just since 2000. At worst, in the 2000s, we are #3 behind Miami and LSU.

But Clemson didn't play anybody that year and that's why they shellacked the Tide. Haven't you been listening. We were rested from our powderpuff schedule and Alabama was weary from the veritable bloodbath of the SEC gauntlet.

Here is a crazy stat.
The 2001 Miami Hurricanes football team had a total of 17 players selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.
Wow!

They penalize Clemson for the schedule it played before it beat the #1 and #2 teams (both undefeated) by 56 points combined.
Yeah . I CALL NONSENSE. That 2018 team is the best National Championship team ever. That team I feel certain is better than the LSU team that beat us handily in 2020 , which I think was better than 2001 Miami.

On the one hand if you’re doing a top 25 of essentially 25 years you’re basically just ranking the natty winners unless you think one year had a really subpar winner.
I think Clemson should be ranked higher, but I’m not surprised in the least it only has 2 teams.
