Yes Sir he did. Actually asked tigermaniac a few days ago about this topic. Our phenom freshman girl Cintron did the same thing. But it was a game with no challenges. She was awarded 1st base. It's really an easy thing to do with your knee.... and unless the batter lifts the leg off the ground, rare to get called.

It really should be called out when there's clear video that said batter wasn't merely holding their ground. Glad it didn't cost us.

The out at first they got right. The kid did lean into the pitch tho for sure but idk that it was enough to reverse the call.

For sure. “Gamecocks do that well” says the announcer… getting hit by a pitch is against the rules if it is something you are doing 🙄
