That's my thought as well. We have to start putting offensive linemen in the NFL regularly before we'll get these highly rated linemen on a regular basis.

While I agree that is part of it, surely seems like 50% has to be something else. Actually Robbie C. got at least 1 high ranked guy a year but 3* guys developed also. TA get solid 4* guys but they never seemed to developed. But as a Top 10 team, with recent quality history, you would think a great coach would pull some talent. Then I realize he has only been here 8mos. Hopefully our current depth and then some success will light a fire for 2026. Just seems like its taking too long but Luke is new to Clemson and our O has stunk it up for 3yrs basically.

I know ppl say history but there has been s bias toward Clemson in the negative way since Morris. Let me explain. When Morris was OC he stressed smaller athletic OL men that could maintain playing 80+ plays a game. That trend continued through Elliott and Scott. It wasn't until Austin that that philosophy changed to a bigger lineman. Since the HUNH ran by Morris Clemson has had trouble getting guys in the NFL. I'm sorry I can point 20+ guys drafted any given year where the Clemson guy was more talented and/or had higher upside and didn't get drafted so not sure why the NFL still has this bias against Clemson linemen. I agree that teams are using that against Clemson but it seems to have become an even bigger problem in this NIL era. I believe Clemson being in the ACC is hurting them with big time guys at any position. But when you see linemen who is getting drafted from lower level divisions of football then it's something else bc Clemson has Top 250 guys littered throughout the 2 deep. That's why this year is big for Clemson. They need a bounce back year to quash these negative talking points other teams are using against Clemson.

Matt Luke is the new with a great reputation and it seems to me like the new with the great OL coaching reputation should overrule anything Clemson's OL has done in the past. IMO we may be missing something other than our OL's past reputation, like money or other coaches telling lies like they don't believe Luke we be at Clemson very long, but I'm sure that it's one of two!!!

Mills doesn’t bother me too much assuming we get Alfred. Actually like Alfred’s film better even though he’s smaller.
Watts however is a disappointment. Striking out on both Watts and Sanders is painful. As Insaid before, Luke got a late start. Let’s see how he does with 26 class.

Luke will still get some quality guys while he's here and has a few already, but I've stated before, you'll see the Luke effect on the field getting the max potential out of them

Why is anyone offering these guys "tons of money" before they know if they can play. Sounds pretty stupid to me, unless you just like throwing away money. There will be plenty of money here and elsewhere if they prove they can play.
