Hope he's been able to move on from the issues that haunted him in the past.
Really would love to see him have a few good years in the NFL, even if just 2-4.

As a 30 plus years weed smoker when I had a devastating back injury, and 4 major back surgeries later, the pain in my back was worse than it was before I let those neurosurgeons start operating on my back and the pain getting worse after each surgery, and stupid me listening to the surgeon telling me that it would get better after every surgery until I stopped them after the 4th surgery bc I felt that I was being used as their Guinea Pig while they were bleeding Workers Comp for every dime they could get, and the only thing I was getting from the surgeries was I lot more pain and I said no more F-ing surgeries!!!
From that point and being in some of the worse constant pain that I've ever had in my lifetime. At that point I was left with only two choices. 1st choice was that I could keep smoking the weed and getting very little to no help with the level of pain that I was left with after the 4th surgery. My 2nd choice was that I could go into pain management and get some relief from their pain medications, but that meant that I would have to completely give up a lifetime pleasure that I had enjoyed for over 30 years bc I was told from day one with pain management that they would give me 6 weeks to get the weed out of my system, and that I would be tested every month and if I tested positive for any substance other than what they gave me, that I would be kicked out of pain management.
Knowing that the weed couldn't handle the kind of pain that I was left with for the rest of my natural life, my best choice was to allow pain management to deal with my pain and giving up on my pleasure of smoking weed. I'll admit that I really loved smoking a joint every day after getting my shower after work, I would smoke me a joint or two during the times that the weed wasn't all that good, and those times were usually right before spring when the good weed was really hard to find.
Do I still miss not having a joint every day, H&LL YES, I'm not into alcohol, and I have never been a user of alcohol bc I never liked the feeling that comes with it. With smoking the weed, I could drive pretty well, and I never went over the speed limit with buzz from weed. I grew up with a serious bad temper and weed would cure my temper to almost non existent, in other words when I had weed to burn, it was really hard to #### me off. Hopefully they will make weed legal here in SC.
Martavis Bryant got into all his troubles bc he was hard headed with the nobody is going to stop me from smoking weed bc I'm to valuable for a team to kick me off the team, so they better cover for me. I say that bc I had to stop smoking cold turkey, and I didn't have any draw backs when I quit, I just missed not having it and being able to burn one when I wanted to, it was no physical/mental draw backs, and that's about it. He could have quit if he wanted to from the first time they busted him, he felt that he could get away with it bc he was a H&LL of a WR, right up there with some of the best IMO!!!

The NFL doesn't test for it during the offseason anymore

and even players who test positive during the season won't be suspended unless they fail to cooperate with the league's "intervention program". He should be good to go, even if he does end up stuck in Texas. Funny how a state that claims to be all about "freedom" doesn't think people should have the freedom to consume a substance that is objectively safer than both alcohol and tobacco. I hope you don't actually think weed killed Elvis, or anyone else for that matter.

Anybody can up and stop smoking weed if they want to, and I know that is the truth bc, when I had to go with pain management, I was told they would kick me out if I failed the drug test. It's been 20 years since I had to be on pain management, and I've never busted the drug test, not once. MB decided that he wasn't going to let nobody stop him from doing what he really enjoyed doing. Heck, I didn't want to stop the weed either, but I knew that I wouldn't be allowed to have it both ways, it was one or the other, and pain management helps with keeping me out of a ton of pain, and the weed couldn't do that much for all the back pain that I have, and it was an easy choice to make!!!!

Elvis died from taking way too many uppers and downers for him to be able to keep up with his lifestyle as a mega star. His brain was being woke up with medications, and put to sleep with medications, and his organs was pushed way to far to many times and they shut down on him. I'm really surprised that his attending physician/physicians wasn't held accountable for Elvis's death as they should have been!!!

I agree, but how many more chances does he get? I really can't believe he's been that long out of the league.

He battled it for a long time and chose to self-medicate instead of seeking therapy, which cost him 5 years of his career. Will definitely be rooting for him.

I know for a fact that stopping the weed intake doesn't cause withdrawals like it does with a lot of the class A narcotics. I burned weed for 30 plus years and had to quit all at once bc of being on pain management. It's been 20 years since I to quit, and yes I do miss, and I hope and pray that they will make it legal for an ounce or less here in SC before I kick the bucket. I'm not and have never been a fan of alcohol at all, but, the weed was good for helping me to relax, and it was great with helping me stay calm and peaceful, and what I mean by peaceful, I'm not confrontational if I've had me a joint to burn. Without being allowed to burn weed, I get amped up pretty quick if spoken to the wrong way, but with a buzz it's easier for me to ignore/overlook disrespectful people most of the time

Depression is a monster when a person tries to battle with those emotions by themselves without the proper psychiatric care and medication. Most of those people who try to deal with all those scrambled emotions by themselves, they are the ones that we hear about committing suicide bc they feel that their whole world has collapsed around them to the point that they feel that their life is over, and they can't live with those thoughts any longer, and they take their own life.
The saddest part about those that did take their own life, is that a close friend or family member failed them by not reporting them to the authorities that would have gotten them the help they needed that could have saved their life...
