He was at least honest. I’m sure a lot of recruits have similar experiences across the country. As a young man at that age, I’m sure I would’ve been similar.

It’s one of the reasons I appreciated TL16. That guy had it figured out at a young age. Had a great head on his shoulders. His parents must have done a good job instilling values and such.

We almost got Emmitt Smith the same way.... that's why we got Emory. Emmitt really really enjoyed his time at Clemson during recruiting visits and made sure his younger brother went to us.

That is a cool story. I always like Gronk but stories like this make me like him even more.

I also like the ESPN call Taj Boyd had and he said he was studying and they asked to see who was tutoring him and three ladies popped up on the screen.

I was supposedly in a couple classes with Tajh. Based on his attendance, his choice of study partners doesn't surprise me at all. lol.

I will say, I did have a class with Sammy Watkins as well. He worked EXTREMELY hard comparatively.

Side story, I know we throw the hotties at the recruits when they come, I sat a row behind Chad Kelly and a couple others at Spring game. They were not watching the game.

Love Gronk. Not sure he would have been a huge value add to the 2007-09 teams. He was okay in college, but really exploded in the NFL, a lot like his QB did. He also left college as early as possible.

I wonder what he means that we had a "package" for him. I assume he means a gameplan on how we'd use him, since he wasn't that in-demand out of high school.
