Good grief. Glad to have him but only time will tell if it was a good “commitment” or not. I mean we keep bringing in “legacy” recruits and ex-player coaches and it hasn’t worked well for us over time. (Prime example the past 2 years) If anyone thinks the Garret Riley hire is going to magically fix our offense issues then you’re delusional.
It’s going to take more than that one piece of the puzzle being replaced to bring this program back to its glory days just a few short years ago. Go Tigers!

If we're only looking at legacy/nepotism LBs, the only 3 that I can think of are the Davis twins (JD & Judah), and Jake Venables. After injuries affected the LB corp, JD was serviceable (not good). Judah was a wasted schollie. Jake Venables was decent, but not the caliber of LB that we'd expect Clemson to recruit and play.
If we look at legacy/nepotism scholarship players at other positions, the hit rate gets uglier with the likes of Amir Trapp, Brian Dawkins Jr, Ben Batson, the Swinney boys, et al.

Chooses a program his brother is playing for. You dont follow unless the older brother likes it and is having a great experience. That says a lot to other prospects considering the school.

I admit I was not a fan when we signed Wade. Thought it was just a desperate move to sign a LB/S after the IMG fiasco and the loss of BV. But kid can play. Looks like little brother is out of that same mold.

When a reporter asked Wade about his brother, he said his brother was the one with all the talent. So we know how good Wade is and he said he knows his brother is a better player/Athlete . I believe him. And with BV still trying to get him to Oklahoma, even having skalaski as his guide at OK. How many people were excited when we recruited his brother or trotter? I think they worked out, No?

I’m very excited to get this young man and believe he will be a force to be reckoned with in a few years, just as his older brother is fast becoming. The “Woodazz Boys”……now that has a good ring to it….maybe even a Championship one 😜.
