but last I saw of him we got him fired. But why would anyone leave as DC at Notre Dame. Folks can hate, but it NOTRE DAME, there is no bigger job. So unless he wants to slow the pace down of life aways from the team, it makes no sense.

Dabo is a master at developing relationships and making people feel important. This is Dabo’s greatest strength.

But far enough away to miss most of the shootings and other crime.
Very nice campus, but too much snow.

LMAO! I used to think the same before moving up here 10 years ago for work from Atlanta (and having been raised in Florida). I live across the border in Michigan - 30 minutes to ND Stadium and 30 minutes to dunes on Lake Michigan.
Happens to not suck. Well the weather does suck for about 2.5-3 months. I would not say it’s nirvana and I would prefer to be back down south because that is home and family for me.
But from a coaches / coaches family and players standpoint - it’s got enough going for it from a livability standpoint.
Als been around the block and if he thinks he has a better chance at continued success in ND, a few extra months of good weather is t going to change his opinion (he had great weather in Miami). Besides it’s not like coaches have a ton of free time. He can have his lake house up here, just means he can’t be in the water year round LMAO
But I don’t think Al has any interest in leaving nor does Clemson have interest in him. So all moot anyway.

It's entirely debatable whether Golden is a really good DC...

but he just signed a 4-year extension with Notre Dame that pays him $2.25 million annually. He's not going anywhere! Any sites reporting otherwise was just click bait. Al doesn't have any interest in leaving Notre Dame and Clemson doesn't have any interest in him.

Agreed. Even DavidHood® said the Golden rumors were just that--rumors.
