Game uniforms

I just love the purple jerseys with the orange helmets and pants!!!! When did we last see this combination worn and can we expect to see it for this coming season? It's so powerful looking and impressive!

I agree that I like that look, but to be honest, I hadn't really cared about uniforms we wear since the Tommy Bowden days - the days where the players were probably more focused on attire than the business at hand. IMO - Wear anything you want - just win.

With all due respect to Clemson and it’s tradition, and it’s colors of pride and military history, the combination of purple jersey with orange pants is dangerously close to being as tacky as Maryland’s uniforms with their flag all over it.

It’s just tacky. Only way I can describe it. But, every other combination is perfect and our uniforms are unmistakable with our brand.

It looks kind of like kids who wear all the athletic clothes and stuff, but don’t try to match anything.

That combo was worn last year for the first time in about 11 years. Happened to fall on Military Appreciation Day and an orange britches clinch day…whereas typically all purple would have been worn.

I too am a fan of the combo but maybe just once a year or so to switch up the regular orange and white combos worn.

The last time we wore that combo was against Louisville last year. It was military appreciation and also the division title was in play.

I would like to see Purple tops with white pants from time to time. Also wear purple pants on the road every once in a while.

Those are combinations that have been worn going way back into the 50s and 60s. I’ve always liked the Sugar Bowl look from the 1959 LSU game. Then it was orange helmets, blue jerseys and white pants. Then the 50s look of orange helmets,white jerseys and purple pants on the road. Not all the time but occasionally for certain games.
