A while back I said something about the people who were calling for Dabo to be gone. Quite a few people on here jumped up and said they had never seen anyone say they want Dabo gone. I wasn’t going to invest my time in going back and researching posts for proof. But there’s plenty of proof in that post. They definitely exist.

We waited 35 years before Dabo put us back on top. But some of us aren’t from the instant gratification generation. Not saying I am happy with where we are or was happy with waiting that long. Just been around long enough to understand it isn’t realistic to expect to stay on top forever.

So how many years of mediocrity is it "realistic" to ensure. FYI, I'm not instant gratification era either. I started my Clemson degree when Tommy Bowden was the coach and Clemson didn't win more than 9 games my entire 4 years on campus. It's one thing to understand the highs and lows. It's another to be completely ignorant to the glaring flaws in this program. Keep up this pace and my fear is we descend into irrelevannce for another 25 years.

Don’t know what type of bug you’ve got up your butt but you are barking up the wrong tree doc. You are the only person on this board that has me on ignore and yet you feel a need to respond with personal attacks. We used to have decent conversations and I was always optimistic and supportive of your ventures in the islands and I have no idea what has caused you to be so triggered by seeing my name.
As far as me not being able to run a business, I successfully managed large manufacturing operations throughout my career and was considered one of the best in the field. But I don’t expect you to understand that because you know the old saying, those who can, do, and those who can’t, teach.

Keep reading my posts. Not at all ignorant to the issues. Actually been pretty critical for the last year and a half or so. Anyone who says different is just flat out lying - that’s you PBT. I don’t agree that firing Dabo is the answer. The reality is that unless you are Alabama you cannot expect to remain “elite” year in and year out. Reality also is that none of us really know where we are going to end up even for the rest of this season so predicting the next 25 years is the definition of unrealistic.

Yes, correct! But he can avoid the portal if he landed 4-5* players but even those are eluding him. If he doesn't have top 5 classes, he will not compete because depth will always be a problem when our few 4-5* players are backed up by 2-3* players.

Between 1981 and preDabo, Clemson was UGA with Mark Right. Arrogance and memory, but no accomplishments.
Is Clemson down from DW and Trevor L? Certainly.
Does one blowout game erase Dabos run? No.
Dabo is point person
He knows crap needs to get better.
I am interested to see what occurs next.
But calling for Dabo to go is idiotic.

I’m not calling for him to go. Completely the opposite. A while back I mentioned posters who were calling for him to go and a bunch of folks on here told me they have never seen anyone calling for Dabo to go. Just pointing out they do exist. Definitely not agree with them.
Settle down. If you have ever read anything else I have ever posted on here you would know my position is exactly what you just said. I am the poster child for the sunshine pumpers. Or so I’ve been accused. I just see myself as an optimistic realist.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result. How long does Dabo get to keep doing the same thing over and over unsuccessfully.
To me… you and the others who love Dabo more than Clemson are the nutters and the problem bc you continuously allow him to keep doing it by blindly backing him and telling him he’s done no wrong.
Look what Miami is doing to Florida with a TRANSFER QB. Everybody else has it figured out and realizes the portal is there to help you.
Only you Dabo and others that blindly follow and don’t ask questions refuse to accept what you know deep down is the truth.

Does calling for Dabo to go over and over meet the definition of insanity? You keep doing that but there isn’t going to be a different outcome.
I don’t “love Dabo more than Clemson “. I’m not happy with our recent results. I have been pretty critical of our offense, particularly the WRs and Cade. But I don’t see anyone out there available that I realistically think would do better than Dabo. You have your opinion, I have mine.

If you honestly believe theirs nobody else that could do better than Dabo then there is no point in conversing with you.
Dabo is not the best coach in the country otherwise we wouldn’t be getting pasted by a Georgia team that is nowhere near as good as the last couple of years.
Georgia will lose 2/3 games this year. For 11 mill a year… I promise all but about 4/5 HCs would at least pick up the phone and listen.
Pre portal and pre NIL… Dabo was top 2… post portal and post NIL… Dabo is above average and that’s it. Every year that he refuses to use the portal and NIL to recruit we become less talented and that talent has ran out almost completely offensively. The defense is still talented but not like they were when we were 2/3 deep everywhere.
It’s a different era and a different game now than it was the last time we won it. It’s literally night and day. Dabo has refused to adapt and with each passing year as long as he continues to refuse to use the portal and use NIL to recruit we will get worse and worse until theirs nothing left.

They made excuses for Bowden the same way. He should have been fired after the Texas Tech blowout in 2002 but these same people kept him at cu for 6 more years. He was blaming Clemson's woes on "facilities" while losing to rinky dink programs who had worse "facilities" & talent than cu. This program is dead & buried. They will sit back & watch Dabo run this ship into the icebergs.

You act like Florida is Wofford.
When is the last time Miami went on the road into a truly hostile territory against a big name opponent and looked that good?
It’s been awhile bud.
Georgia is nowhere close to the best team in the land and when they lose 2/3 games this year I’ll be sure to come back and bump this post.
Nobody is saying Miami is a legit title contender but to just brush off that they went on the road and pasted Florida is not giving credit where it’s due.
Just bc it doesn’t fit your narrative doesn’t mean it’s not worthy of mention. By using the portal… Miami now has a real QB which makes them a true threat. I’d say after watching Clemson and FSU… Miami should be the ACC favorite. When’s the last time you could really say that and believe it?
Again… it’s been awhile. The portal works if used properly… end of story.

Yep we need a change before we hit rock bottom. Name something in honor of Dabo, put him in the Ring of Honor, and bring in a coach who is in tune with what it takes to win in today’s environment.
