Dude just shut up. Good lord the people that say the whole… oh you’re losing your mind never a football team… no not at all…

It’s a hobby you moron. Nobody here is suffering bc we lost a football game but some take it more serious than others and that’s ok. It hurts to lose but does that mean life is bad? Absolutely not but does that mean we have to be happy about the fall from the top we’re experiencing? H*ll no we don’t.

If you don’t like seeing people talk about Clemson football then this isn’t the place for you.

I guarantee you’re the type that without googling… you couldn’t name 5 players on the team. I can’t stand people that say stupid s*it like you just did.

Not a single person here is saying anything about losing their mind over a football game. But a lot of us give money to this school and we expect to win or at the very least be competitive. That’s how I know you have no clue about this game.

If it doesn’t mean a whole lot to you then hey that’s cool but to others it means a helluva lot and you don’t get to decide where Clemson football ranks on peoples priority list just bc it ranks low for you. So keep your bs to yourself

I did not read the article. Just a quick scan. I don’t think this is NIL collective dollars. This is fundraising dollars from 2005 to 2022. So, what IPTAY has raised annually. This can be captured because these are non profit organizations that have to report. I don’t think collectives have to report. So do we really know what we are up against?

Anyway,if we use this list as a base line we came in at 28 million a year. 13 schools ahead of us, 9 of which are now Big 10 and SEC schools raised more per year. Those 9 also get roughly 20 million more a year in TV dollars. South Carolina was right behind us at 27 million a year, they get 20 million more in TV dollars to.

I think some of us are questioning if we can financially keep up with the “Jones” year after year. I am proud of my school. And I know the Clemson family tries to support. But some of us believe we are in a “arms race” we are concerned we can’t win. I think Dabo is very tuned into this. I think that is why we are doing what we are doing. We are trying a different approach and I believe appeal/ recruit using a loyalty/ traditional grass roots theme to sign athletes that are not looking for a pay day. It may totally crash and burn. I don’t think it has. Seems we are about right where we should be if looking at dollars spent. Also I think he is biding time with this approach/ hoping some type of rules will be installed that levels the playing field (salary cap) or conference realignment. I believe he knows once he goes down the transfer path, he can’t use this approach in the future. So again, just trying to tread water for a few years.

I am frustrated too, paying for play has really shaken up the game. It’s allowed the bigger schools to flex using dollars. It’s allowed some big schools that were off the map to get back into the conversation. It’s going to take some time for the system to normalize. There will eventually be some rules to help the competition aspect. Just have to keep doing our best to keep our head above water. Hopefully we can preserve what makes Clemson special though. We don’t want to scrafice long term success and what makes us special for a short term gain.

Looking for bright spots after today. I do think our offensive line played better. So Matt Luke seems to be effective. It got a way from us more at the end. But I did like what I saw in general. I thought the the Dline also looked good. So Eason did good. Georgia, ahead of us on this list , just has more players. At least 2 More running backs, 3 wideouts, a better Safety ( awesome play making that pick) and a better QB. But when you have 20 million more potentially in the coffers, it makes sense that they will have an advantage in difference makers.

Hopefully we see more improvement next week.
