No way OSU gets in with 0 signature wins and statistically worse than ND vs a lower level of competition.

Actually I’ll retract some of that. Unless we beat ND down like we did 2 years ago they won’t get in over ND

Seth,
I hope you are right - regardless of what happens in the ACCCG.
Off on a tangent, I would welcome ND into the ACC, but they have to be all in - and treated like every other school.

It probably depends on margin of victory to a certain extent really ... Say for example Florida destroys Bama (unlikely but still) and Clemson narrowly defeats ND... 1. FL 2. Clemson 3. Bama 4. ND
How about a narrow FL win and Clemson crushes ND??
1. Clemson 2. Bama 3. Ohio State 4. Florida
...

Just my opinion ,but a 1 loss Notre Dame should eliminate Ohio State because of their limited schedule. Four teams, Alabama ,Clemson ,Florida and Notre Dame, all with one loss would play semi final games, conference vs conference thus giving us an ACC SEC Title game.

I agree and it's only fitting since they are the only conferences who havent screwed up this Season AND have playoff level teams. (Sorry Big 12)

Just my take but hopefully the committee would K.O. Ohio State and set up a rematch between Florida / Alabama and Notre Dame/ Clemson with an ACC vs SEC National Championship showdown.

The Big Ten changes their rules

OSU will end up playing 5 games in 4 days, followed by the B1G Championship game versus Northwestern.
Then it'll be OSU, Clemson, Florida and... Alabama. ND gets screwed in that situation.
But, really, does anyone think UF has a chance against Bama? I do not.

I very much think Florida has a chance against Bama. It will depend on some match-ups - and on turnovers - but FLA is plenty good enough to beat Bama.

If the games are close with those results...
Dec 8, 2020, 12:29 PM

It's likely
1. Clemson 2. Florida 3. Notre Dame 4. Alabama
That's just so that the ACC and SEC championships wouldn't repeat in the semis.
If one of the two championship games is a blowout, the loser is out with TAMU or Cincinnati getting in as long as Cincy is undefeated.

Curious what you have to say.
If that were to happen, I would think that it would be,
1) Clemson 2) Alabama 3)Ohio St 4) Florida
Even with a loss to Florida, the committee wouldn't drop the Rollin Sabans more than one spot imo. The big question and will remain the biggest uncertainty is what happens with Ohio St?
Do they play Michigan this weekend and get the number of games required to play in the Big 10 Championship game? If the Michigan game is cancelled, then does the Big 10 committee change the rules on the fly to cater to the Bucknuts? If they do play and lose in the Big 10 Championship, not likely but anything is possible in 2020, then they are out.
Who is the big winner if Ohio St can't get in? Notre Dame? they would have the highest ranked victory and could possibly slid in the top 4. Texas A$M might be highly tanked but they wouldn't deserve to get in imo.
Clemson just needs a 3 game winning streak to claim another Natty. It's ring season and time to see the Tigers elevate their play like they have always done.

If Florida beats Bama, they HAVE to be ranked higher than Bama in the final poll.
1. Clemson 2. Florida 3. Bama 4. ND (or slippery OSU)

Alabama definitely could still make the playoffs with a SEC title game loss. Even if we beat ND by a little, Alabama would probably sneak in.
