Three-star 2022 North Gwinnett (Ga.) small forward RJ Godfrey (6-7 210) committed to Clemson on Wednesday. Godfrey added a Clemson offer last month and recently listed the Tigers in his top schools. Godfrey is the son of longtime NFL linebacker Randall Godfrey. Read Update » |

After watching his film, his skillset reminds me of Jaron Blossomgame. Will need to work on his perimeter game at the next level. Not a bad get at all.

Thanks for the vids. Kid can play and so can Wiggins. With Ian et al (if everyone sticks around) we're going to have a good nucleus the next few years.
Just hope people don't get frustrated with this year being a tweener year. Imho, that's what I'd call it.
I have high hopes and truly believe as I've said all along, this year can be special... Now, a lot of new pieces, Honor taking a next step, PJ, Dawes being consistent etc. Collins should play a big role. Kids got hustle and hopefully he'll hit more than he misses on FT. But, if we just end up in the nit, I wouldn't label this year a miss. Disappointing maybe, but you can see talent starting to turn.
Is this a fair assessment and expectation?

here is another video with interview with highlights cut in. Really good athlete with skill. He had 13 offers early a lot from high majors and we were not even one of them. Clemson didn't offer until a month or so ago. Saying a lot about the staff we get involved late and still win out.

If you have time, watch all this game half highlights for Godfrey's team NG vs future teammates Schiefflin and Wiggins at Grayson last season. Godfrey showed his skill with passing and handle for a good HS team.
