Former Clemson linebacker named to CFB Hall of Fame ballot

Former Clemson linebacker Levon Kirkland was on the 2022 College Football Hall of Fame ballot released on Wednesday. Kirkland was a consensus First Team All-American in 1991 and a 1990 Second Team All-American. He was also a finalist for the 1990 Butkus Award and leader of Clemson unit that led the Read Update »

I remember Levon and a safety Michael Hamlin and recently BJ Goodson . . . I’m sure I’m missing others . . . (Add to the list . . . Please)

Played against Levon. He was a man among men. When I saw him coming, I ran the other way.

^ This. I ran a dive play first play of the game and he tattooed me. That was the tone for the next 59 minutes basically.

Levon was obviously one of the best ever to wear the Clemson uniform. I'm happy to see him getting this much-deserved recognition.

He had a very distinguished pro career, one of the very few

Tigers from back in that era to attain longevity in the NFL. He was a monster on the Steeler defense.

over West Virginia. Major Harris was so hyped, and our defense completely shut him down. Levon was a big reason for that, as he had an awesome game.

Major's mom said something to the effect of "they're killing my baby!"

Levon Kirkland was one of the best ever defensive players at Clemson. Period. This is long over due and about time. The Ford teams had some incredible linebackers and none better than Levon or as Coach Ford use to call him Laverne!
