I had forgotten how many big runs Ratchford made in that game.

Ratchford had somehow gotten into the dog house with Pell early that season. We didn't see him nearly as much as the previous couple year. I don't remember hearing he was hurt.
I think he caught OSU by surprise.

For the memory boost !!!!! Danny was just as "humble" as Dabo,in giving thanks to all involved in the program - also, talked about getting the players ready to succeed in life -- again, thanks for the memory jog !!!____________________________GO TIGERS !!!!

Thanks to Tommy, Brian and everyone at Tnet...

another home run!! Teared up just a little when I remembered almost every second of those few halcyon hours during and after the game. The Tigers were serving notice that the Clemson football program was readying to kick some rumpus over the next decade or so. It was sure a lotta fun....as have been these last few years!
Just looking at Coach Ford during his very first show....were any of us ever really that young??......:~)

I know right. Definitely teared up. Darn shame we didn’t finish higher than 6th... I thought we really deserved a top 5.
Still remember it like it was yesterday!!!!! Definitely, thanks for posting this!

Awesomeness! This game was to Clemson football in the Ford era what the LSU bowl game was (still is) to Clemson football in the Swinney era. So many parallels... success with humility, hard nosed, defensive dominance, team not fully respected by pundits, Ford had the family atmosphere too. Could go on and on.

Those linebackers had to be tired after making a "k-jillion" tackles. Ford could always make southern slang sound good.
