Why is everyone so high on NCST?

I think we eat them alive on D and likely run the ball well regardless of their returning line.
I just don’t see it.

Because of covid they are returning most of their offense & defense, they will be a good team with a few good 5th year players but we will run over them again this year in the valley!
We don’t lose anymore at home, our streak has turned into a permanent thing we do!

They beat us last year. Until we beat them, people will continue to say they have a good chance to win the conference. Go Tigers!!!

We were awful last year.

Completely decimated on both sides of the ball by injury with no receiving game, but still won 10 with the bottom of our bench…
I DON’T GET IT.

The league, as a whole, is trash. And you got to pick someone to win some games I guess.....but they wont beat us, and it wont even be close.

Supposedly they have an NFL bound QB and RB and always have a pretty good defense.
but they are NC State. They will screw it up as usual.
They will beat some team they shouldn't (hopefully not us) and lose a couple of games they shouldn't usually in a way that embarrasses the league.

Seems like they've earned it.

Devin Leary

Leary threw over 35 TDs with only 5 picks last year. He's a stud and makes them a contender.
I still think we curb stomp them, but I can understand why people are high on Leary and believe NCSU can be competitive with anybody.

They don’t have Emezie back this year. He killed us with catches all over the field. We need to hit Leary all day long.

The outcome last year was razor thin ... as bad as we played

it took extra periods for them to win ... at home.
We lost Skalski and Bresee during a game that was still 7-7 late in the second half.
Last year it was a grudge match for the Wolfpack. This year the grudge is held by Clemson.
Tigers by 14+ ...

Don't forget that 14 of their points came off of two spectacular catches by Emezie in regulation and Carter in OT that did us in. Otherwise, we sputtered and still should have won. Not cryin' about it, just find it odd that folks are somehow believing that NCST outmatched us last year when they clearly didn't.

Yes, a few spectacular catches tend to make a QB look better
Aug 16, 2022, 2:00 PM

Our WRs made virtually zero catches that could be termed “spectacular” last season.
Both TW and TL would not have enjoyed near the success they had without many great catches from the WRs.
The WRs are the one position group that most needs to step,it up this year. If that happens watch the QB position automatically improve.

"their 14 points", not ours, but I would agree. Our WRs did very little that was spectacular, including catching.
