Will Smith for what he did. Baldness is probably one of the more devastating diseases a person can catch. A bunch of my neighbors have it, and quite honestly I am not sure how they are able to keep on living. I get my scalp checked every month by my dermatologist and I am also very selective about which women can run their fingers through it. Fortunately, I have tested negative every month for the last 27 years, and hope to stay free and clear.
Please pray for me so that I never catch this awful, devastating disease.

in the Hollywood bidness where looks are mostly everything, a woman going bald IS a really big deal. It would be a big deal for any woman, but particularly a Hollywoodnik. Now, I know she could afford some really expensive wigs, but that would have to get tiresome real quick, which is probably why she said, to heck with it, I'll just cut it all off and go with that.

I have extremely short and curly hair. So my dermatologist must be very careful about the area he chooses to transplant from.

with Pomade, it exposes your hairline to sunlight which is the secret to keeping it healthy. Most bald men I know wear hats, or comb their hair over their hairline, and that is a big mistake. They really have nobody to blame but themselves honestly...

I had a friend who went bald at 22. Many people gave him crap about it, but he never considered getting a transplant. Your twenties can be a tumultuous time for your hair, and alopecia takes no mercy if it has chosen you.

Some turn gray and some turn loose. Some do both like me. I slap my very elderly parents at every opportunity for passing this on. Mom gets an extra slap for donating her X to me, but as male pattern baldness is polygenetic, Dad gets a pop too.
The cheery news is 80% of males will have some degree of baldness if you make it to 80. By then, most retired dudes are wearing baseball caps, so it's all good.
I will pray for Tbalm.
