Like some legit 4-5 stars. Those guys never want to play in Tiger town.
The front court talent is nice, but we need studs in the backcourt that can put the team on their back. The kind of guys that always seem to have career games against us.

What will it take to sign some stud guards?
A new coach? NIL? Something else? All of these?

The $100 million we've spent on basketball facilities in the last 2 renovations didn't do it but the next $40 million is probably key.

According to Brownell, we've had "some of the best facilities in the ACC and the country" and "a first-class experience" for the student athletes for 8 years.
Clemson hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newest round of renovations in Littlejohn on October 14, 2016. These upgrades took roughly 16 months to complete, beginning shortly after the 2014-15 season in order to have them done as efficiently as possible. Their game against Georgia on Nov. 11 of 2016 served as their “grand reopening” of the stadium, allowing fans to experience the renovations first-hand.
This $63.5 million project consisted of a number of upgrades, along with the addition of some features to help accommodate players and provide them with the best equipment and atmosphere possible.
The renovated studio included the new Swann Pavilion, which includes a 13,000-square-foot (1,200 m2) practice gym, team suites, a film room, weight room and lounges. The renovation also upgraded the stadium entrance, exterior, and added two new LED boards. To fit in the new facilities, the basketball floor was rotated 90 degrees, and the arena capacity was reduced to 9,000 seats.
Included in the recent renovations, both the Men’s and Women’s team got their own Players’ Lounge, providing them with the equipment necessary to provide players with the opportunity to relax with their teammates and pass time in between practices and work outs. Located near each Locker Room, the Players’ Lounge helps accentuate leisure in their surroundings, while also keeping them in a proactive environment.
Training Room To the right of the Players’ Lounge is the Athletic Training Room. This space was specifically created to centralize the needs of players, typically consisting of recovery or game-prep. The Athletic training room was also a part of the recent renovation, allowing the program to be equipped and prepared when in season and out of it.
Amenities Include:
Plunge Pools Six lifted Treatment Tables Recovery & Medical Equipment Weight Room The Weight Room has undergone a superior makeover, now being connected to the players’ lounge and the practice gym, along with getting upgrades to all their equipment to better suit the players’ needs. Monitored by trainers for both teams, this space is helping athletes better themselves on a daily basis.
Connected to the Weight Room is the teams’ Practice Gym, consisting of a full-sized court with six surrounding baskets and a time clock to help the coaches and players with drills and other exercises in preparation for the season. Players have 24 hour access to the facility and are welcome to use the equipment and the gym candidly.
Amenities Include:
Nutrition Bar with Snacks, Beverages, and Post-Workout Shakes Certified Nutritioist on Staff Custom Tiger Weight Racks and Benches w/ LED Lighting Custom Workout Machinery Cardio Equipment Three Flat Screen TV’s Speakers
Locker Room Located beside the training room, which was a part of the recent renovation, is the Mens’ Locker Room. The Womens’ team’s Locker Room is located on the other side of the Practice Gym. The basketball teams spends an immense amount of time in this area, before and after games, practice, and lifts, so it was crucial to provide them with a comfortable space and amenities to make their atmosphere as welcoming and productive as possible.
Amenities Include:
Individual Locker Spaces with Seating Individual Lighting Storage Drawers Screens for Jersey Number and Player Display
“What a great day for Clemson Basketball,” said Head Men’s Basketball Coach Brad Brownell. “In 2013, when we first took steps to renovate Littlejohn Coliseum, Joe and Bobbi Swann aided in the advancement of both programs with the construction of the Swann Pavilion. This new project, spearheaded by Jim and Candace Brown, will continue to give us some of the best facilities in the ACC and the country, while enabling us to consistently provide our student-athletes with a first-class experience. I want to thank the Browns for their considerable generosity and strong support of our program.”

Having built those out less than a decade ago, we're already spending another $40M+ to upgrade them.
[Jul 2023] The Clemson BOT and the Finance Facilities Committee gave Phase 1 approval on a plan for comprehensive improvements to Swann Pavilion and Littlejohn Coliseum worth $40M. Those upgrades benefit both men's and women's basketball programs, with the recently added gymnastics program beginning competition next spring. The project includes renovations of more than 51,000 square feet of existing team spaces and 30,000 square feet of new construction. Construction would commence upon Phase II Board and State approval (Clemson).

I think it's a message board. You guys can charter all you want but this team is going to be a six seed and you can take the pitchforks and shove them

I’ll admit,‘basketball is a reality tough sport figure out . I’ve read several books and still struggle to understand the game. How can Clemson sign a Top 22 class with poor facilities, fan support etc? And does this give false hope to ignorant fans believing Top 22 recruiting classes may result in a Top 4 ACC team or Top 25 overall. And is there a signee in that class who perhaps is coming in as a inside presence who we can turn into an ineffective shooting guard

Last I looked, Brownell had signed a total of seven 4* players during his time at Clemson. Three of them transferred after their first year on the team.

Maybe we could hire MJ to come coach a few years,
Jordan might just make a great coach. Horace Grant might make a good coach too.
