True sometimes, but sometimes a hitter is a a millisecond late recognizing the pitch is where he wants it and by the time he decides it's too late and he's frozen.
This pitcher is doing exactly that to our hitters right now.... putting the ball where the hitter has to make a tough decision on a moving ball location.

If they would swing at the cookies right down the middle they might have a little more success. Always looking for a walk. Look for a pitch to hit and if you don't get it take the walk.

people don't understand how good unc's pitching is. Couple that with a team that has mediocre hitting and this is what you get.

Ppl are complaining about the approach with bases loaded and no outs … why is Jarrell so watching two fastballs there like you HAVE to put the ball in play even if it’s a double play to get a run across and get on the board. Our ABs just are not very good when it matters for most of the season. I would have loved to see a bunt to get a run in and worst case it’s 2nd and 3rd one out and a base hit still scores two.

This is a good pitcher, but Clemson has not hit all season as a rule. The BA on this team is easily the worst I remember this late in the year. It was very obvious in April that this was not a hitting team.

Today it's awful no doubt. But pitching has shined much more than hitting. Yesterday against Ga Tech the pitching was excellent especially late when it mattered. You don't lead the nation in saves with bad pitching, but that does say a lot about your hitting.
