Clemson vs. Louisville at the ACC Baseball Championship updates

The ACC Baseball Championship pool play format has Clemson and Louisville back for one more at Truist Field in Charlotte this afternoon (3 p.m./ACCN) despite both being eliminated for the weekend's semifinals, and we are on the scene again.
The Tigers are looking to put the final touches on a Top-Eight National Seed for a chance to host all the way through the Super Regional round. The Cardinals look like they need not only a win but also a dominant one to get back in the NCAA Tournament bubble conversation.
Pitching matchup: LHP Sebastian Gongora (LOU: 5-4, 6.25 ERA/83 strikeouts/28 walks) vs. LHP Rocco Reid (CU: 2-1, 4.50/25 Ks/15 BBs)
Clemson is throwing a midweek spot starter today with Reid and not sticking with the typical weekend rotation it had begun with in Thursday's 8-7 defeat to Miami, with lefty starter Ethan Darden taking the loss. The Louisville starter Gongora gave up six runs (five earned) over four innings with seven strikeouts to three walks in a Cards loss to Clemson earlier this season.
Season series: 2-1 Clemson after a series in Louisville
After the Cards evened up the series with some theatrics on the diamond earlier this season, Clemson came back to run-rule Louisville in the finale for the weekend series win.
NCAAs: Clemson looks to be in a good spot for a top eight national seed according to the latest projections, sticking as a No. 6 projection, which remained unchanged after Thursday's result.

Some pointed words from Erik Bakich on the radio pregame about the starting pitching decisions for this week. Bakich told Don Munson that it would've been "very stupid" to have thrown the freshman ace Aidan Knaak on short rest. Knaak is set up for the regional weekend.
Bakich said outside of Reid that Billy Barlow is line to pitch today.
