Remember when Brent Venables got hired? 2014 was a weird year, but still a 10-win season when Deshaun was hurt a lot.
After that was history.
You get the right guy in Goodwin’s spot, things can change just as fast.
The offense we have is more than capable.
Some plays made you scratch your head on offense, but that was playcalling mostly. And Texas just being good on defense.
Cade passed for 336 and 3 TDs. Against that #1 Texas pass defense
If you haven’t seen the progression since Georgia, you’re blind. Most teams would’ve had terrible season after that type of loss.
If we get a coordinator that can improve our tackling and soundness back to what it was, things totally change.
We’re not far from it either.

QB? Cade just torched the Texas defense in a way nobody has done all season. On their own field. The guy finished with 43 touchdowns and only 6 interceptions.
There is no Quarterback in college football playing better than Cade right now. He was the best player on the field tonight.
We need some coaching changes for sure.

Some coaching tweaks for sure. But We better get elite in the talent acquisition business. Right now we are not in either high school recruiting or portal.
Got to quit playing the modern game with elite teams with one hand tied behind our back.
This past recruiting class is not going to cut it if you want to be elite. A handful of difference makers from the portal at defensive end, linebacker and running back would’ve paid huge dividends this year. The drop offat defensive end and linebacker is stunning from where t was just a few years ago.
I do agree that certain subtle tweaks will pay huge dividends. The only thing that has been holding us back is us

I don’t imagine many will.
You never know with players nowadays, but it’s be different if we didn’t make the playoff and get back into national relevance.
But if Cade decides to go to the draft, or God Forbid transfer, I believe Vizzina can be very good, but the uncertainty may drive some receivers away.
Worst nightmare.
