When it comes to RB if the dogs want the. They get them. I don’t remember the last RB the GA wanted and we beat them out for.

Well I don’t know if CJ Spiller is that versed as recruiter. I think developing and coaching them up is more his forte.

he got one of the top RBs in 2025 so not sure there. I think it’s more when Georgia wants a RB they’re going to get him. Of all position, RB is deep for Clemson and any 2026 recruit wouldn’t see the field for a while when he gets to Clemson unless there’s a max exodus.

I'm guessing the sentiment of "good riddance" is that we don't want anyone who is willing to go to UGA...

It isn't on CJ , it's the way of the CFB world now. Most of the big recruits demand big paychecks. Clemson , not CJ ...got outbid . He was also Georgia's kid to lose , as far as I had heard. Some of these folks just love the blame game. Which is easy , when you really don't have any stake in the game yourself.

Yeah bc CJ literally didn't bring in one of the top RB last year. They haven't targeted but a few RBs and unfortunately when you are fighting an uphill battle with teams in the SEC and even Big10 being the ACC team doesn't help. And trust me when I say those teams absolutely use Clemson being the ACC against them. Plus UGA has a pretty solid RB to the NFL track record especially with a kid from Georgia. I know though let's not let anything get in front of your emotions.

I don't see how CJ would come across as that impressive in meetings with players. He doesn't come across as intelligent. On the other hand, I have never seen him in action. Just seems like there would be better salesman.

If it’s all about money, then why did Clemson land Dre Quinn? We were 2nd and a day later we landed Richard Wesley from California who might be the best in the nation. It’s recruiting and it just happens sometimes and it’s not always about money.

It'd be much bigger news if we WON one at that position vs Georgia.

I can’t pull many if any RBs that chose us over UGA. Maybe James Davis or CJ but there have not been many.
UGA will pay and has a huge history at the position. More than one fish in the sea though. Go find the next Etienne.

UGA checks are always bigger but the question is, will he ever get significant playing time. He will be gone after 1 or 2 years.

"Pivot in a new direction" like in offering alot more players alot earlier. Like touting that we are tied with Georgia in the number of RB's put inot the NFL since 2009? Or perhaps like pivoting in the direction of getting someone that can recruit running backs?
