Question for the older tnetters.

Has tnet changed a lot visually since it began? I’m not sure when Tigernet first came out but Im pretty sure I saw a user on here that has been a member on here since 1995. So im assuming this website has been up for at least 30 years now. I’m just really interested to find out how much has changed with this website since it began.

The graphics are fairly similar. That's OK by me because I hate webpages that

Yea I was going to say that this website and its msg boards kinda look like something you’d find in the late 90s/00s. I don’t hate it tho. I just find it interesting that it’s 2025 but it looks like this website is from 20+ years ago.

Lol This is kinda a joke question but also kinda serious as well… was the old Tigernet a gateway to p#rn?

I mean take a look at these screenshots and tell me they aren’t a little sus…. You have one that looks normal on the surface but there is an add for p#rn under the tnet logo. (I clicked on it and it sends you to an old p#rn website.) Then the other one literally says “this website is for ADULT CHAT”…. Idk am I reaching here?

Thank you for the link tho. These tnet archives are very interesting.

Ah ok. Was this just an unfortunate naming coincidence or were the same creators of that Tigernet the same founders of todays Tigernet. No hate if they are the same people. I’m now just curious.

Lol. I meant the OG tnetters. To be fair I’m only 25 but I sometimes feel old compared to 20 year olds.

Speaking of old, what is the situation with LBB ? Does anyone know anything ? I like the present setup of TigerNet. Easy to access.

This is the one I remember getting started with...back when the URL was thetigernet.com or tigernet2.com.

And yes, back then tigernet.com was a totally separate pron site.

I first started. I don't have any modems left in the museum, though.

There were no Tnet members in 1995, that's a glitch. The earliest members

all show 11/30/1998 as their join date. I've seen a couple people brag about 1995 but it's bogus. Think about it... if you could join in 1995, there would be thousands of Tnetters with 1996, 97, etc. But there aren't.

Lol does anyone even know when Tigernet was first put up? The Clemson Tigernet, not the p#rn one. Since the earliest members you can find are from 1998, then does that mean that was the year the website first came to? Or did it form earlier and there are just no records of the og members from the first few years?

According to TigerNet, 1995 was the start

TigerNet is the oldest and largest Clemson sports fan site. Founded in 1995 in Clemson House Room 632 (RIP) by three computer science students, TigerNet was the very first Clemson sports website, even pre-dating Clemson's official site.
