Really.. I am sorry I don't get it. Maybe I smoking something but these two teams are not even close talent wise. GT is not good and there is no reason why this should be close. I know Atlanta isn't our favorite place to play but those teams are very different. GT was much more talented and Clemson was medicore. When we lost with deshaun, Cole stoudt threw two pick 6s... come on people have lost our minds... this is a blowout 37-13 clemson

Fans putting things like a 3 or 4 TD win on a game by the opponents is what pisses teams off and helps them reach down and play their best game. They will be talking about that in the locker room before the game, Clemson fans are saying they will beat us by 3 or 4 TDs, now they are pissed off!!! Just sayin!!!!

It just shows that we will always have to work for respect, which is fine with me. We thrive on that mentality. I don't think Clemson will ever be accorded a "permanent" place at the big table like the Oklahomas and Notre Dames of the world, who can continually lose and still be overhyped.
Even after we Bury the Bees Thursday night, see how the narrative will then shift to us being smoked by DeVille. Lamar Jackson cannot be stopped! (Etc, blah, blah) The next couple of weeks are going to be fun. It's a great time to be a Clemson Tiger.

Clemson will be ready for this game! Dabo always recognizes the importance of ACC openers. The Tigers have not fully played to their potential and I have the feeling this team is turning a corner to make a statement.

If you take out the part with player names, this OP looks like a direct quote from 2014 or 2011 (or 2009, or 2007, or 2005).
The fact is that Clemson has lost 5 straight to GT in Atlanta, so it is not unreasonable at all to expect GT to have a chance. 2009 is probably the only time that GT was about as talented as Clemson, so the talent differential is nothing new. In fact, this GT is probably better than the 2005, 2007, and 2011 teams, so it makes sense for GT teams to be optimistic. God forbid we bring facts into the discussion of a rivalry game, though...
