clearly ive been getting thumbs down for having a positive outlook on our season. for those of you doing that, feel free to continue to do so. i hate it for you that cant do anything but complain about our team. in the meantime, i'll keep my head on straight and try to look at the good things our team is doing b/c as much as i love this game and our tigers, i do realize it is merely a game being played by mostly 18-22 year olds.

agreed.....at the end of the day, these players are typical 18, 19, 20 yr olds trying to convert from high school coaching to something bigger.....they probably didn't do all that well in high school until their junior and senior years....

oh you bet we can. i never said they were perfect. we all know that's not the case. i want our best players on the field just as much as you do. i like to think you can understand my point in my original post though as well.

Than Meeks. That being said, let's enjoy being 5-1 over the bye week and the fact that we still have a fighting chance at the division and hope we can get some defensive issues straightened out. If we do, we were 5-1 with a VERY weak D, its scary to think what we can do if we can fix those problems.

amen to that. as fans we want instant gratification and want the defense fixed asap, but these things take time with a new coordinator and new scheme and the ridiculous amount of youth on our defense. you won't see me complaining about being 5-1 with the status of our d. and you're right, it is scary to think of how good our team could be with decent defense.

You play to win. It doesn't matter if you win 100 to 99 as long as you win. That being said the next player who doesn't wrap up should be made to attend pledge night at the u.t. Pike house.
