Can The ACC Be Saved?
Jul 9, 2022, 9:01 AM

That's the real question. I think it's safe say that most Clemson fans would be happy to stay in the ACC if the league could stay financially competitive with the BIG 10 and SEC...
Can that happen? When you are hear rumors of striking deals with the PAC whatever's left conference that lost the LA Market it looks more like desperation.
Are there enough "quality programs" out there that would strengthen the ACC enough?
Why would any potentially new school agree to join a league whose GOR lasts for another 13 years?

As others have noted, whodathunk Miami, FSU, and VT would suck at the level

they have now for the past decade?
If those schools had pulled their weight we wouldn’t be having these conversations.
And if my granny had wheels she’d be a bicycle.

No, see my post about tv ratings . I am breaking down Clemsons value to the SEC later today . The longer you wait to join a super conference the harder it will be for that said conference to justify your inclusion . We have to separate your on field success . Clemson fans on here are way to emotional to have a serious conversation about your teams future . You have to realize now is the time.

If the ACC had 4 consistent "Stallions" consistently at the top of the league we would be in this situation..
Clemson has literally be carrying the water for the ACC for many years now...FSU, UNC, VT and Miami have failed miserably to produce and in the bowls they get blasted.
This is big reason the ACC is dying...not enough firepower...

Saving the ACC should be the absolute last thing on the mind

of the Powers That Be at Clemson. The ACC has YET to make the first decision that benefits us. On the other hand they HAVE made decisions that specifically HURT Clemson. That extra year of ACC tacked on bowl probation in the early Ford years will always rankle me.

Not without kicking out some of the dead weight, and it doesn’t seem like that is something the ACC would ever do.

As a real football conference, absolutely not.
