I think so.... but more importantly, I think he would

bring the things that are important to Clemson fans, as well as a winning program.
1. he would win
2. he would recruit well
3. he would graduate players
4. he would maintain the class and integrity we pride ourselves on
5. he wouldn't back down from tobacco road

Violations currently at SMU. Doesn't matter who we get until we give them a level playing field. Brownell had anything but a level playing field basketball was underfunded and an afterthought

Brownell, time is running out on him. Regardless of playing field he should be doing better. We need a coach with NBA ties and one that will give Clemson a brand again. Wether it's the press or a fun and gun style offense. We need a brand I hope we get an offensive minded coach that embraces the challenge because he will face that but you can win @ Clemson.

My choice would be.....

Greg Marshall, but... with that said, I am trying, trying to be patient with Brownell. Sad, because this team is really underachieving. With guys like Blossomgame, Grantham, Nnoko, and Roper. There is no reason, no reason AT ALL they shouldn't be playing better than this. It all goes back to coaching. With that said..."if" Brad can whether the storm of 2015, his best days maybe ahead of him. I really do believe REED and Mitchell are difference makers. And BOTH deserve a shot to be leaders next season.
My hope, hope was this would be a NIT type team this year. And that's still on the table. But this team must find a way to win, the "WINNABLE" games. Otherwise, time to make a change... and for me, its MArSHALL.

Everybody wanting Gregg Marshall needs to understand two circumstances. First he is a huge Gamecock fan! Second he is in coaching heaven at WS. Other than Kansas he has no competition in recruiting and can maintain an excellent program with NCAA potential every year.
Clemson needs to hire a young, bright hard working coach who can attract enough solid talent to allow us to finish in the top half dozen ACC standings each year to build an NCAA resume over time and then gain better talent as a result. Recruiting and support from administration would go a long way in changing our culture and record.
Go Tigers!

He didn't believe he could win consistently at Clemson back then and there's no reason to think he'd be any different today.
Rick Barnes had his chance to make his mark on Clemson and he chucked it for $$$'s and what he thought was a better opportunity.
He made his mark and collected his dollars at Texas until they fired him.
Screw Rick Barnes!

I would always question his loyalty if he were our coach. Plus, he is old, a Tarhole, and is a known cheater (those last two go hand-in-hand, don't they?).
