I like his book because it has tons of information in it.
As far as prognostication goes, its worthless whether its coming from steele, athlon, or whoever else. But at least steele's book is an easy reference for info.

Nope. Is your address too hard for you to understand? Or do you always give out a fake one in hopes of looking tough and confrontational?

You probably don't care seeing as how you've committed board suicide.

He's as good as anybody if not the best. Obviously he gets things wrong but college football isn't an easy thing to predict.

All of the talking heads are nothing but prognosticators. At least he bases his opinions on data. He's a regular on the ESPNU College Football podcast during the regular season. I've always liked the insight that his data provided.

seems to go thru at least a modicum of effort to study the teams.....some of the other mags read like they all post the exact same clip from a warehouse.
That being said....NOBODY can predict what is actually going to happen.

2 factoids from his '14 review that I found of interesting:
Jun 10, 2014, 10:23 AM
|
|
1) When CU beat #5 GA to open the '13 season (having beaten #9 LSU in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl to end the '12), they became the first non-SEC team to defeat 2 top-10 SEC teams back-to-back... ever.
2) CU is 72-0-1 when gaining 500+ yards all-time.....

I like him a lot when he picks the Tigers in the top 5 winning the Natty.
I dislike him when he ranks us low.
Pretty simple.

He is pretty clueless about football. I don't understand how guys like him, Tony Barnhardt, or Ivan Maisel have a job covering football when they don't even understand the sport.
