Couldn’t be mad at him for that one. Don’t get a better talent pool to build with than FL. That school has been a giant mess though so that would give me pause if I were him.

I have noticed BV no longer needs a get-back coach. He has definitely cooled on his enthusiasm for the program. No one would blame him if he took one of the many 8 figure offers he is going to get this year. It would be a disaster for our program, but c'est la vie.

From what I have seen, he’s never really been interested in a Head Coaching job…He could have probably had one 4 or 5 times over by now if he wanted it. I believe he’s happy doing what he’s doing. He’s already making millions without the responsibility of a head coach. He would be crazy to leave that

Just as a note: I don't think he will get the job. I just think the media will have him on their short list.
If I had to guess as to who gets the job I would say Mike Elko or Bill O'Brien.

Venables and Kiffin are unlikely to ever coach together for many reasons - but in a theoretical sense, they could be a formidable coaching staff. Either can take 11 guys off the street and perform outstandingly at their craft.
