Monte Lee's 25-27 team in 2020-21 was very bad with the bats

I think what this team has accomplished this year could quailfy as some sort of miracle. 3-4 pitchers and 3-4 actual hitters.

This! People who know baseball understood this and are watching tonight are not surprised or disappointed. EB has maximized what he has. It will get a little better, but with the NIL limitations, there is a ceiling ar Clemson. We are getting glimpses of that ceiling without a major change in the landscape. Retaining EB may be more difficult than originally thought.

I don't think this is true

This is pretty much the same story as the football narrative from a few years ago. It depends on exactly what you look at, but in terms of money, facilities, and attendance specific to baseball, Clemson usually grades out in the top 10 and should continue to do so. The resources, both NIL and otherwise, should be there. I don't think there's a ceiling on Clemson baseball, and as painful as tonight was, I still have a positive opinion of EB. And from everything he's indicated, he's not going anywhere. I do wish he could do a few things differently recruiting-wise, but he still has an opportunity to do that. I still think the future should be bright for us.

I agree with you. The injuries to the young pitchers have hurt, as well as the transfer players haven't played as well as they expected. Listi is the only transfer that has panned out thus far. Clemson is still a very attractive program for players. The coaches are going to have to work harder this off season to bring in players that can compete in this conference.

Listi is the only one that has an approach when he steps in the box. Bakich needs to shake something up besides the order. To take the 2 strike pitches they're taking is unacceptable.

Agree completely. It’s bizzare to watch. Our bats always looks so tight in postseason play.

We’re scoring enough to win every game. It’s pitching. ALWAYS has been.
