Another huge crowd at the ND/FlaSt game....

the gate for the first 4 games of the ACC Baseball Tournament must total in the vicinity of 650 attendees.
Congrats to the University of Louisville and the surrounding community for showing such strong support for this conference championship event

I knew the turnout was going to be low because I got 3 separate phone calls out of Greensboro trying to sell me tickets...I was like nope, not going to Louisville!

Louisville averages fewer than 1,900 for its own home games

(pretty lousy support for such a solid team), which is sixth in the league behind Clemson, FSU, Miami, Virginia, and UNCheat, so even when Louisville is playing, don't expect the crowds to be much bigger.

That's what the ACC gets for being political.

I mean if the locals don't even go what acc expect for us fans that live 6+ hrs away from Louisville to do? I thought it was stupid to be held there and it shows with the attendance. Last night game I could hear Velcro from batters gloves it was so quiet! There were like 20 ppl in the stands for our game. I think NC should hold all acc tourneys bc it's a half way point between all teams from farthest up in BC and farthest south in Miami.

How many FSU fans do you expect to travel to Kentucky on a Wednesday to watch a baseball game?

travelling well----usually, their little army of RV's is the first to show up at these type events----or at any big series, actually. Clemson and FlaSt are the two best travelling fan bases for baseball in the ACC. One would think with Notre Dame and the seminoles playing in championship tournament the turnout would've been considerably better.....but regardless, its obvious there's no local support for this event.....Unless the crowds improve dramatically through the weekend, I doubt Louisville will be awarded the conference baseball tournament again...every game has looked completely deserted on tv.

Attendance in Durham and Greensboro is not much better, especially during the week.

literally no one outside of Louisville fans have easy access to the game. Its not even in the ACC footprint.
To be fair today though, its like 60 and rainy. Tomorrow more of the same.

The listed attendance for the Duke/Clemson game was 3,381. I guess that's the number of tournament tickets sold because @3,000 of them came dressed as empty seats.

They tried it in Greenville a number of years ago in the old braves stadium. I think the complaint was, full stands, too many Clemson fans

UH AND THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN ZERO GAMES PLAYED THE 1ST 2 DAYS. BUT WOULD LOVE TO GET IT TO GREENVILLE OR BETTER YET PERMANENTLY TO CHARLOTTE.
