and as far as I know it's still made there by C.F. Sauer. Also, my understanding is that's where the Palmetto Cheese pimento cheese from Pawleys Island is mostly/all made now by Sauer.

predominately with Miracle Whip, but Duke's or Hellman's Mayonnaise is also more than acceptable.

The only time I had ever heard of Miracle Whip was when we would visit my Aunt & Uncle in NJ.
It was the worst thing you could ever do to a sammich as far as I was concerned.
So I have always considered it a completely yankee thing.
If you was growed in the South and say Miracle Whip - were your parents from up north ?

with a 10 foot pole. My father-in-law and I playfully argue Dukes vs Miracle Whip nearly every time we are together.
Both of my in-laws are SC born and bred, and their families have lived in this state for 200+ years.
My mom was born in Milwaukee, although my dad is a native Georgian and I am a lifelong South Carolinian. What do you make of that?
