After you spoke DIRECTLY to me. One should never question a fisherman's estimate of size...which I did NOT in you case. Disappointing. Very dissappointing.. now...the next time Ole Spud posts that I caught a 5lb smallie on the Broad.....some oeckerhead on here is going to want to see a set if scales. And...I already had to cure Tater Tater of bringing a set along!

I think we need a head to head match between Spud and MFO and see who can catch the biggest bowfin or mudfish as they are called where I live.

To a small creek there. I have caught a couple in there that had to go over 7...now..that is just eyeballing it..but I think I'm close. Probably a Rowland 9 lber!

When I go fishing, I catch naps and flies and mosquitoes. Maybe the occasional buzz. And during the spring spawn, I catch the odd admiring glance from the sunbathers when I park my boat at the Dockside slips and stroll over to Your Pie for a slice. (The glances are for my boat, not me.)

But I rarely ever catch slabs like that.
