Could the difference in income between acc and the sec is large enough that we can pay the penalty amd still come out ahead ?

If they renegotiate and offer ACC an increase, then possibly not.
But the talk is SEC & B1G providing each team $100M per year.
If ACC stays around $35M payout, even I can do that math.
