Wouldn't it be nice for Dillon Gabriel to go off against Ohio State and pass Cam Ward in career touchdown passes? Especially in the manner Cam Ward sat the second half after getting the record.

He needs 5 to tie him, and 6 to set a new record. If Oregon wins this game, he will surely break it in the next game, regardless of opponent.

Case Keenum set the record with 6 seasons, but 1 was a true RS year (0 snaps). Both Gabriel and Keenum had a Medical RS year, each going down in the 3rd game of the season (ACL for Keenum / Clavicle for Gabriel). Gabriel had an extra boost from his COVID year with UCF, boosting his stats by 32 TDs.

While Gabriel should get an asterisk for playing 5 FULL years, I say Cam Ward should get a bigger asterisk for 5 FULL seasons, AND inflating his stats by 71 TDs at FCS Incarnate Word School for the Blind.
