You can insult me & call me Forrest Dumper all day & evening but I believe that Winston made it abundantly clear that Swinney couldn't make his men rise to the occasion.
With Jameis a non-factor & Jimbo not even having that much time to prepare for the game without him since the suspension occurred relatively close to game day, the cards were dealt Clemson's favor & there were some of those displays of, IN MY OPINION, please re-read that--- IN MY PERSONAL OPINION, severe blunders that you just don't see with well-seasoned & well-coached players that teams like, for instance, SEC teams put on the field.
Plus, Watson shouldn't have been in teh game after like the 5th drive with no points in the second half. We should have seen Stoudt again.
I'm not saying Dabo should be let loose I'm just stating my opinion that as long as Dabo is given the reigns, Clemson will remain at best the 2nd best ACC team which is equivalent to a middle-of-the-pack SEC team.

Serious question for everyone. Had Nick Saban taken over at Clemson after Tommy Bowden was fired, where would our program be today? I seriously believe we would have a couple national titles.

team, even without Winston.
Yes, they played their backup QB, but we did too. They also had the benefit of playing at home in front of their crowd on ESPN Game Day. Yet we almost stole a victory that nobody gave us a chance to.
They have better talent at most positions, the fact that we took it to them like we did speaks very well for our coaching staff. We got more out of less, and have for the last few years.
That's not to say that we are lacking talent in every spot, but the voids on the OL, at TE, RB, and at two of the WR spots were obvious.
On defense, I feel like we were the better unit with the exception of one of our safeties that I won't name.

The rest of the country thinks that FSU is the #1 team in the country. Yes, they were without their star, but the offense didn't change and the QB they used practiced with the first team all spring. So yes they were hampered, but they are still loaded with talent and we were in their house. And we lost in overtime. And because of that, you think we will NEVER be able to beat them again.

Go check ESPN facebook and twitter posts about the game. 90% of the comments are people very supportive of Clemson, most think pretty highly of us for our teams performance. Now we have to go on to win the rest of the year to keep that up, and we are totally capable of doing so.

we out talent the bulk of our schedule and it inflates our winning percentage
we are 0- last 5 in the two most important games of the year
lost to FSU and SCU and 2012/2013 and FSU in 2014
same basic problems with fundamentals, special teams and anxiousness time and time again
against equal our better talent...our record is what .500 or far worse?
and I do find it amusing we have a start like this right after all the guys get loaded contracts...
same coaches that won't even play the QB that they KNEW was better...if we knew it...you can bet your behind they did too
easy to be loyal and "build for the future" when seats are cold..and if you think that isn't the truth

It is always simpler to find fault than to find solace.
I look at our team as a young bunch , loaded with talent and set for a sustained run of success....that began with the Auburn opener in 2011. Dabo has proven that he can recruit with the best of 'em , bring in top notch coaching talent and run a completely clean , over achieving program. Our team is fine , and the future looks brighter every day. Sorry , if you think we are in trouble or feel like our current staff has failed you it just may be that you are feeling down , or its possible that you are consistently a negative side of things human being ...and nothing more.

Are you f'ing kidding me!? How can you say that the coaches didn't put us in position to win the game at their house?
The coaches can't make lakip kick chip shot field goals in the game when he has been making them all in practice. They can't help that our BACKUP CENTER forgot how to snap a shotgun snap. They cant help that our senior qb missed a routine throw that I could make. They can't make Cj hold on to the ball late in the game.
You are crazy if you don't think our coaches practice these things each and every day. Most of these issues are football 101, and the players should have been practicing these things since they were in elementary school.
The fact of the matter is the players lost the game for us. Not the coaches. The only thing I feel like we can complain about is not starting Deshaun. He would have made that pass. Although I believe that Cole makes that pass 9 times out of 10.

I think the strain of losing in that fashion at Doak was too much for a lotta people that love Clemson ...I know that I was upset for a couple of days.
That we did what we did with such a young offense in such distracting , unfriendly conditions is very steeling to my nerves at this point.
Defensively we look stout , and I believe we have a team that can run the table or at least win 8 of the last 9.

If a field goal is made & Clemson wins by 3, or 6.. then my opinion is changed dramatically.
Beating #1 FSU on the road looks really good even if they didn't have Winston.
I probably would have posted something along the lines of giving Dabo a raise.
