If you look at the strength of OSU and LSU it is in the secondary for both teams. Loved the running element that Lawdog added to our offense. I don’t know if we can count on our passing offense only putting up 150 yards through all but the last drive. My hope is that our WR getting off the ball and out of breaks quicker. (Justin and Tee combined for 80yrds receiving)
had over 400 yards rushing and over 200 yards passing on that mighty LSU defense. They may play better than that against Clemson, but somehow I suspect that we have more and better weapons across the board that stinking Ole Miss.
And clemson's D strength is also in the secondary... plus a freaky guy that plays everywhere
BV tends to "let" RB have better games. I think Scarbrough also broke for a couple big plays early in '17. (Dang that game was a lot like this one). Still, some minor tweaks and after the few big runs, the ypc dropped and so did scoring. I don't know how BV does it but he locks down. Then he forces FG and TO and TO on downs inside the 30.
What BV does not allow is for a QB to go over his defense... which is what LSU does to everyone. Interesting to see what BV cooks up because the only QB I have seen toss it over BV was forehead with this talent not at his disposal.
