South Florida forward commits to Clemson
Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) forward Ben Middlebrooks announced a commitment to Clemson on Monday. He was named to the Broward 5A-1A first team after averaging 20.5 points and 13.6 rebounds per game last season. Middlebrooks is slated to reclassify to the 2021 class. he's a stretch 4 not a center. probably will be Bahre's replacement but not sold he will be ready to contribute a lot next season. still need a couple of ready to go transfers.

solid pick up. still think we need a 6-6 to 6-8 athlete transfer to go with another 6-4 to 6-6 athletic wing who can contribute a lot quickly, but at least we get another player on the roster. Auburn and other high majors really wanted Middlebrook.

I don't think auburn really wanted him. They're signing 5* power forwards and guards, along with the 4* center transfer. Would he have been like a project/develpmental player for them? Kinda like Dabo taking a preferred walk on? I'm asking.
Question: when I look at the top recruits, why isn't Clemson offering them. Is it not like football?

Case Stewart is an OL on our football team.
Hunter helms is a preferred walk on that’s best offer was from Holy Cross

He had a lot of good offers, including ours. He had a chance to reclassify from 2022 to 2021 and did so because he really likes Clemson and saw an opportunity to come in and get minutes.
We wanted him, or else we wouldn’t have been recruiting him, wouldn’t have offered him a scholarship, and wouldn’t have allowed him to reclassify to 2021.
He’s not a stopgap player to fill a roster spot. Our program is in a much better situation than to have to resort to players who are just warm bodies. In case you forgot, we were really deep this past season. We will round out our roster with a good transfer or two before this offseason is said and done.

From watching all the film on him, he’s a solid prospect. Great foundation shooting and ball handling wise for his height. Will possibly need a year or two in the program to improve his strength and athleticism. Has the upside to be one of those Gonzaga-style face up bigs over time if we can retain him for 4 years.

You are so touchy, but the facts do not change regarding inside game.
You keep defending not having an inside game. When was the last season Clemson had inside game?
There are 3 players currently on the team at 6-8 or taller.
Prosper left. Not sure why you included him.
Kidd played 33 min all season.
Hall played 209 min - best in class
Tyson - starter.
So, I made a comment that I am glad he recruited a big and you get touchy. I must have hit a nerve.

Lynn kidd and PJ Hall are the two highest rated big men we have signed in quite some time.
Lynn kidd reclassified and knew he wouldn’t get many minutes behind Amir Simms and pj hall.

That is not even close to accurate. Also O-Max counts because you said “recruited”. I don’t know if you realize that we actually did recruit O-Max.
So you are either an idiot, don’t pay attention to Clemson basketball, or you were trying to be funny. And you failed at that.

The facts I can live with. The personal attacks go to your character.
If you would stop with personal attacks and defensiveness - perhaps you would see the bigger picture to my post. I was glad that we got a big man. You went sideways after the word recruit. In your mind perhaps I should have used the word signed.
We don’t have an inside game.
We don’t have a shot blocker - rim protector.
We have not had these for years.
Every time a name is brought up on transfers, they seem to be 6-2 guard or so.
IMO - in order to move forward in P5 leagues, you must have inside presence. If for nothing more than to block shots or make the defense collapse for the guard play.
You seem to want to make everything a personal attack. Shame. Most people don’t.
Keep your attacks to yourself. Good discussion is always welcome.

We sign a guy that has impressive offers and is 6-11 and people have to scrutinize his offer list and say he actually didn’t have his offers. You with your stupid and negative comments. I’m sorry.
