2000 maybe 3000 seats to get Death Valley in the mid-80s one day. Frankly the next major improvements to Death Valley will be cosmetics and amenities. Love to see an EZ/ hill improvement and expansion where the corners are expanded and a sky walk added to connect the corners over the hill and with a larger video screen.

I swear I remember back in the mid-80's when I was going there seeing in the Clemson House lobby a mock-up of a stadium expansion with one of the end zones with an upper deck that had 100,000 seats.

we could have that conversation.
I'm not sure we are big enough for it. But who knows.

the East end zone.
I could see some permanent seating going on the both corners of the east end zone. That could get us to 85k or 90k (depending how far in they come).
I'm just not sure how many more they can fit in and keep the current aesthetic intact.
BTW, before the West end zone, we use to count the hill as 6,000 people. Now we count it as 4,000. So our capacity is actually about the same, or slightly more than it was previously.

I think it would be cool if they left the hill but built an upper deck over it that joined the north and south upper decks.

It would ruin the beautiful view of campus, and the great views into the stadium. The amazing walk down fort hill would be ruined.
I really doubt there is enough room anyway without taking out the road. Im all for something over the WEZ if we ever needed it though.

Only feasible for a couple of games per year at best.
We have plenty of seats now and the problem is that about 20% of those seats are terrible.

I agree no. We do good to feel the stadium with some of the teams we play. Also in most cases people just do not want to sit in the top part of the upper deck at CU. You are up so high and the stadium goes away from the field that the seat are just terrible in my opinion. I almost believe I would stay home and watch on TV before I sat in the upper deck.

In the upper deck you can see holes develop and plays unfold. I hate sitting too close. You can't see anything

I have seats down low on the 50 and on the first row of the upper deck. I prefer to sit in the latter because of what you said. However, the seats in the top part of the upper deck are atrocious.

The design of our stadium was ill conceived. Someone convinced them that more sideline seats are better, but no one told them that after you reach a certain altitude, it no longer matters. The top of the upper deck at Death Valley is an abysmal place to watch a game.

TV now there's not the same type of demand for tickets there used to be. Plus, the cost of expansion is terrific although I think money would be found if the decision's made to expand DV.

With every game now on TV it's unlikely. Although Clemson sold out its season tickets, the final year's attendance was down 3% from 2015.

The bones of the stadium are really good. I think we could do something like Texas A&M did minus the expansion. Add really nice brick facades to every thing. Nicer larger bathrooms, better concession areas, maybe cover parts of the upper deck, just make everything seamless with the WEZ.
