Millennials. Need some style help for this Gen X.

I got a hoodie for Christmas. I’m not and have never been a hoodie guy. It looks decent enough on me to wear it, but do you leave the pull cords in or yank them out immediately? They feel a little gay, like I’m Heidi and have my pigtails draped over my shoulder.

Wait, you want Millennials to help you look LESS gay?

I can't stand a sweatshirt without a hood. Feels like a dumb sweater otherwise.

And hoodies are my favorite. Got one on now, full zip one which is a little weird, I prefer the pullovers.

I have a excellent Jeep hoodie I wear alot.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I wear long sleeve hoodie Tees every day.

3

Jan 17, 2025, 11:22 AM

I leave them dangling in front to remind me my PJ cords will get peed on if I don't hold them out of the way. BTW, I see the hoodie cords dangling when I raise the seat to pee. So basically, due to the cold weather I'm holding three strings at the same time.

If I'm going out I wear something over the hoodie and tuck the strings in at the neck then when I get home and put the PJ bottoms on again I usually pee on the strings cause the hoodie strings are still tucked.

OK, I admit, my system need refinement but I'm holding out for warmer weather.

Semi-threadjack (sorry Obed) - how many Clemson sweatshirts do you own?

3

Jan 17, 2025, 11:30 AM

As you may recall, our man henry was buried in his favorite Clemson sweatshirt. RIP dawg. That fact and this thread got me thinking about CU sweatshirts.

APM has three. An old grey one (crewneck) bought at Ibrahim's in 1996. Starting to fray around the collar and cuffs, big and baggy, but I love wearing it around the house.

A new one (crewneck) from our trip to the Citadel game this past season. It is purple with orange letters. Made by Champion. Very nice. This is my fancy sweatshirt that I will wear in public.

Finally I have an orange hoodie. I do not wear it often for several reasons. But I wore it last night with a puffer vest over it. The hood definitely helps with warmth.

Anyhow, how many and what denominations of Clempsin sweatshirts do you own?

2025 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg2016_nascar_champ.gif flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I have at least 4, most are hoodies with stitched letters. A couple of older

owner of 1 of them, from Homefield Apparel.

My youngest son has a TON of them, mostly because they are passed down to the youngest/smallest.

Wife has a couple from High School and College so they are showing age, I think daughter actually wears them now.

2

Jan 17, 2025, 1:23 PM

Because I don’t like them dangling, and they always get uneven when you wash them. Then trying to even them out constricts it and they will never be fully equal again, and that gives me rage. So I just get rid of the problem at the start.

I always keep the cords as long as I can, but eventually they get too far gone in there in one side and I just pull it out and toss it.
