He has stepped in and done a great job on the Offensive Line. I really like his attitude and will to be the best! Can you imagine him when he is a JR or SR. Keep up the hard work and continue to be the BEAST! GO TIGERS!!!

Mitch did a phenomenal job ast year, and I know he will just get better as he matures even more. I see the work ethic from all the team who just want to be the best. That's all any of us could want. This program is very special.

Bloacking was SO much better last year and it started with this guy.
I thought losing Isaiah Battle was a blow. Losing a 6'7", 325-pound senior to the NFL supplemental draft and plugging in a true frosh? On paper, a huge loss.
In reality, it was addition by subtraction. Battle was an NFL physical talent but his assignment, consistency, technique, and effort were all over the map and I'm sure it drove Caldwell berserk. And along comes Hyatt...who is just about textbook in terms of assignment, consistency, technique, and effort. He may have been 30 pounds lighter and vastly less physically developed, but it truly was an apples-to-oranges comparison of what attributes really make an OL go.
We shouldn't have been better, breaking in what amounted to 5 new starters. We ended up being way better, and I don't think this group of OL is really close to their peak yet.

Your dead on, the peak of the 2 deep on the OL is going to be better than ever or as good as ever. With the talent, coaching and better players to practice against is going to make this team even better.
I think we have a real shot to win it all this year. Go Tigers!!
