He'll graduate with a GPA of 3.89. That's a tad better than my 2.45. He will work again this summer, and then head back to Clemson for his masters. He has definitely made the most of his 4 years in Tigertown, and I am very proud of him.

He is smart, or he works really hard to keep his grades up. I graduated from a 2 year trade school, and my GPA was a 3.0. But I did leave with an occupational associates degree from Universal Technical Institute-UTI, in Phoenix AZ. When I finished, I left UTI as a certified Auto/Diesel Technician.
It served me well up until I started having serious back problems, and that's when I started back driving long haul 18 wheelers until my back just gave up and I had 3 major back surgeries, and a minor back surgery that none of them done any good for me. When my doctor released me, he gave me this paper that said that I wasn't suited for any type of employment at any level. I still tried to work odd jobs, but my back just wouldn't allow me to hold a job for very long.
Even though my degree from UTI is worthless to me now, I'm still proud that I went back to school to better my employment opportunities and make really good money bc I did graduate from a tech school. At the time when I enrolled at UTI, it was considered as being the best Auto/Diesel school in the United States...

In our case the same high school was much tougher on my daughter than me, and she went into Clemson a lot better prepared. She graduates tonight with a 3.9 and is a little disappointed it isn't a 3.95.
