Son of is 10, 5'3" and 125 lbs... size 10.5 mens shoe. If he didn't want to play football the coaches were gonna sniff him out eventually.

Are you concerned for brain injuries? My son is still 39pounds wet at 5.5yo so football isn't exactly in the cards anyways, but it's the one sport I am refusing to even entertain. But, I don't know if I'm overreacting.
Then again, I also remember the screams of my friend after he broke his femur in a dog pile playing peewee football.

important. I think there is more awareness about brain injuries and overall fitness in most sports now. My dad played football at CU and has a whole host of back/knee/shoulder problems but would do it all over again.
Also, my daughter jumps a 1200lb animal over 3 ft fences at fast speeds sooo maybe I'm slightly crazy.

He could play rugby if he wants to tackle. You can definitely get injured, but there's much less of a chance of a catastrophic injury.
