MLB Leadership Leads the Way in Social Justice in GA

The 2021 MLB All-Star Game was moved from Atlanta to Denver as a protest for the new GA Voting Laws likened to the Jim Crow era.

By making this move this took tens of millions of dollars away from Atlanta where over 50% of the residents are black and sent the green to Denver which is roughly 10% black. Additionally, virtually the same "racist" voting restrictions were already present in Colorado.

The Jim Crow GA voting laws somehow were poorly constructed as there was record voter turnout and a UGA poll conducted after the polls were closed revealed that 99% of voters had no issues voting.

Thanks to the wise and courageous leadership of MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, Governor Kemp of GA and the GA Legislature reversed course, abandoned the hideous and racist voter suppression laws and enacted new laws that are more inclusive and allow felons, dead felons, the unvaccinated, noncitizens and even Auburn supporters with a simple X to participate in the electoral process.

Except, nothing absolutely nothing has changed regarding GA Voting Laws, Stacey Abrams is still not the Governor, but Rob Manfred has awarded the 2025 All-Star Game to Atlanta without explaining why.

Biden endorsed the 2021 move and stated the new voting laws in GA were "Jim Crow on steroids."

Surely Biden will take the same stance and push Manfred to boycott Atlanta once again, as we simply can't allow "Jim Crow on steroids."

Manfred, Biden and Abrams should own that they were shamelessly virtue signaling in 2021, and that the boycott hurt African Americans in Atlanta.

However, we won't hear a peep and 2025 will roll around with the game in Atlanta with those same "racist" voter laws in place in 2024.
