I just hope and pray they do not get the best coach in SEC history--WM from SCAR.....I want him to stay at SCAR another 10 years at least.

Sorry, I don't see it. If I was on a search committee,

you would have to have been absolutely dominant as a mid major coach to be considered for FSU's job. I'm talking Scott Frost type undefeated, fake National Championship type dominant, and he ain't that, at all.

People keep mentioning the incoming coach's buyout because it absolutely matters how much FSU has to pay right now for the new guy.
I can't imagine they steal somebody away with a huge buyout.
That is unless Deion Sanders is going to foot the bill entirely for the new coach.
I hear he is trying to have more and more influence on what they are doing down.
Reports have been that he was a major part in settling on Taggart so quickly and he was one of the loudest voices pushing Taggart out the door as this season progressed.

Sorry . No former player ( regardless of stature ) should EVER have a say in the hire process for a new coach . In any sport . At any time .

Re: Mike Norvell gaining traction to FSU

If Norvell is announced as FSU's coach, I think FSU folks will be screaming to get Taggert back. Taggert beat Norvell in-conference too.
IF FSU hires Norvell, then it would be viewed as a failure to get Stoops. Secondly, Norvell might not want to walk into an environment where he is nearly a dead-man walking.

Yeah but there are other dupes willing to pay you for doing a lot less for much longer. Just ask Muscoot.
