Im surprised Tajh hasnt been taken yet

May 10, 2014, 4:40 PM

I wasn't expecting him to be a 1st rounder or anything, I honestly wasn't expecting him to be a full time starter in the NFL (atleast not anytime soon) But I can see him being a valuable backup somewhere.

If his height is really such a big turn off for teams then why was Manziel such a big deal? Most of his "spectacular" plays were him running for his life and then throwing a desperation heave downfield and Mike Evans coming down with it and making him look good. I understand his running style is completely different than Tajh's in that Manziel is more of a home run threat while Boyd is more of a short yardage ball carrier threat but theres still value in being able to basically turn your RB into an extra blocker while your QB can take the ball a few yards for a first down/TD

Some of the QB's that have been taken have just been baffling on who they've been taken over. I mean Logan Thomas and Tom Savage over Murray/McCarron/Boyd/and even Shaw? Heck give me Conner Shaw over both Thomas and Savage Clemson and South Carolina fans should both be upset about how their QB's (Both who were just plain winners in college) have been left out so far for QB's who literally have done nothing in college who just happen to be 3 inches taller

Manziel has bust all over him

hes 5 11 with a thin frame and likes to dance around in the pocket for way too long

ppl act like he's the next mike vick with his legs which couldn't be further from the truth ..whatd he run a 4.6? most d ends in the nfl run a 4.6 or 4.7

and i agree with you on mike evans making him look good..manziel threw more jump balls than other qb out there

the amount of love he has gotten is a head scratcher for sure

the fact that he was drafted by the browns is fitting..the franchise where qb careers go to die

I don't understand it either. They are drafting QBs from schools I've never even heard of. And the all acc QB that has broken about as many acc records as any QB that has ever played in the acc. They are disrespecting the very QB that threw the ball to the receivers they love in Sammy, Nuk, Allen and Bryant. A lot of the QBs they have already drafted, I don't think could have put the ball in their hands the way that Tajh did with a average O Line that Tajh had to work behind. It really is causing me to believe that these talent scouts don't know anymore than an average fan does. Tajh wasn't the best, but he was sure as h&ll better than some they have already taken!!!
